Some book on an African American poet for my next book report. I haven't actually picked it up yet, but the key is that I am "supposed" to be reading it...biggrin.gif

I LOVE to read...

I am reading now The Kingdom of the Golden Dragon by Isabell Alende.
I have barely started it but....it is the sequal to The City of the Beasts.

But, I have so many books on my "reading list"....I don't know how I will ever get through them!

There are too many books!!! unsure.gif Yikes....lol

At present, I'm reading a book called wicked... I'm at work, so I don't know the author lol...

The story is based like the wizard of oz, however this is the story of the wicked witch... It's really good... and lets you see a whole new "wizard of oz" story.

I have just finished a series of books by Kathy Reichs, which were great. Now I need her to write some more. I have borrowed a book from a friend, it is called Too Good to be True. It is a fictional romance, easy reading so I can pick it up whenever I want and not have to worry about forgetting the story. I have also got a book to read by Karin Slaughter but I have not got round to it yet.

I'm working my way through the Terry Goodkind series of books that start with Wizards First Rule. I'm not normally a fantasy fan, but these are excellent and I'm totally hooked! (on the second at the moment!)

sexykitten - if you want to borrow them you're more than welcome smile.gif

Not normally into Fantasy. Did once own all the Terry Pratchett books to impress a boyfriend. Then when we split up I realised I did not really like them and sold them all on for a massive loss.

I'll read the back of them tonight though and see what they are like.

When I stayed in Scotland, I had a massive collection of books... and I mean in excess of 200+!! I loved reading when I was younger, before I got into web-designing and coding etc... However when I first moved out of my mum's house, she moved them into the garage for "storage"...

Unfortunately I never knew about this until it was too late, and all the books were ruined by the damp... so I lost a lot of books.

Now that I have moved to England, I have started re-stocking that book collection... but don't really read much anymore... lol tongue.gif Sounds silly, but I mainly just want to have lots of books again!

lol biggrin.gif

i am currently reading Lady Friday by Garth Nix....i love these storys, there are going to be one for everyday of the week, the keys to the kingdom series they are childrens books but for fantasy reading theres no better than a childrens book in my eyes!!!

another good thing about this book is that Jofnn bought it for me!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------
The Sweet Pea has a keel that was meant to seek all shores; it has wings that were meant to fly across all continents; it has a standard which is friendly to all nations; and it has a fragrance like the universal gospel, yea, a sweet prophecy of welcome everywhere that has been abundantly fulfilled - Rev. W. T. Hutchins 1900

There is a delightful Freemasonry among lovers of Sweet Peas, doubtless due in great measure to the sweetness and beauty of the flower

From what I have read so far, it is actually quite good!! Also, I like the fact that the edge of the pages are a different colour than the actual page itself!!

Simple things amuse me biggrin.gif
